why are there missing numbers on blackjack strategy charts?
Mar 28, 2008 by Reed S | Posted in Card Games
I'm trying to memorize a chart for 4+ decks, dealer must hit soft 17, and i noticed that there are missing numbers on the chart. For example: theres no numbers for a hand <8. I've checked multiple charts and they all seem to be the same.
For any hand 8 or lower, with the exception of doubles, you will always hit no matter what the dealer has. Even if the dealer is showing a 3, 4, 5, or 6 and you are holding an 8 total, you should still just hit instead of doubling down.
