Does anyone still count cards in blackjack these days or have the casinos made it impossible to do? ?

Just wondering if it's still possible to count cards or is it impossible to do with double decks and casinos shuffling after every hand? Is there some other system people are using these days?
Anyone know any good books to learn a blackjack
The card counting system makes it look easy. The fact is that the card counting system gives you an idea when there are a lot of face cards out there, and you bet more and have a better chance to win. The problem is that the dealer also has a better chance

There cannot be a system to win at Blackjack as the odds are against you and a system operates without discretion. You could only win if you were smart but I doubt if anyone could be smart enough consistently to beat the odds. To win at any game you need

How does the hi-lo counting system for blackjack actually give any advantage?
Jun 29, 2010 by Joe Jo | Posted in Gambling
I've been trying to figure this out. I know that with the knowledge of the count, I can tell what card is most likely to come out. But if the count is high, it is also likely that the dealer will come out with a face card or 10 on his first time around
if you bet the table minimum and play basic strategy when the count is low the house edge is about half a percent......averaged out you lose a penny for a 2 dollar bet.......when the count is high with basic strategy the player has a 1% advantage....on

There are a couple reasons I can think of, but I am not an expert on this. I'm sure I'm leaving out something.
#1 - When you bet $10 and the DEALER has Blackjack, how much do you lose? $10. When you bet $10 and YOU get blackjack, how

Is it possible to use the high low system like in blackjack to count cards in poker?
Sep 29, 2008 by jesse g | Posted in Card Games
I know that the hi lo system works in blackjack because of deck flucuations, but in poker, could the same technique be applied to help guess the probability of beneficial cards coming up, or could it be used to guess a players hand?
I've read of people who do have counting strategies for stud hi/lo, but I've never actually read what that counting strategy was. It might be worth some research to find out if you play it. I'm sure you're just counting cards that are higher than 8

How do you account for blackjacks, splits, and doubles in the 1-3-2-6 betting system in blackjack?

When you earn a blackjack or you have a win resulting from a split or double or both, how do you account for this in the progression? What if you have one win and one loss from a split? Or one win and one double win from a split? Or two regular wins?
Same as JackAce said. Don't run for any betting system. Just learn the methods of blackjack and try it on your own. It doesn't matter if you won less or even you lost some game. At least you would be able to find out the problem or mistake that happened
