What to do on a long car ride?

In 3 weeks I'm going on a really long 10 hour car ride, so I can visit my uncle and he can give me braces, because he's an orthodontist. I'm getting them done from him, because he's gonna do it for free since I'm his family, that's why we're driving 10

Sleep, read, take pictures of the people you pass on the highway, talk on the phone, pain your nails, braid someone's hair, watch a movie on a portable DVD player, read, sleep, read a magazine, sing a song, listen to music..

We were only left in the car if it was a very quick stop. Like if my Mom was just grabbing milk or a loaf of bread from the convenience store. Otherwise we all got out. My Mom also started sending US in to do the errand for her at around 7 or 8 years

Bus riding boredom for Pre-K?

My son has a 50 min. ride to and from school. This is the only negative to him going (besides my attachment issues).
Does anyone have any ideas for activities a 4 year can do on a bus. He can't eat on the bus. I sent in a laminated car
What kind of bus is it? Head Start provides excellent, organized learning opportunities on their buses in my area. Is it a public school bus? Does he have a bus buddy? If so, his buddy can read to him, teach him songs, and play counting games watching
